For this year’s project, KidsLink Downrange is requesting donations of $1 or more per pledged kit. Read the info below for questions regarding this request.
We are asking for a $1 donation (or more) per card kit in order to cover the administrative costs of organizing the KidsLink project. While we deeply appreciate groups giving of their time and money to create card kits, there are other costs involved in this project for which Cadence does not have the funding. In order to sustain this project and to be able to continue this project into the future we need help covering costs.
If your group cannot afford this donation, consider this a great way to engage your community as well. Some ideas:
• Ask a local small business to give the donation.
• Ask your supporting church to participate by providing the donation money.
• Hold a small pledge drive in your neighborhood.
• Ask kids to give $.50 each to help other kids, teaching them about caring for others in the process.
Your entire donation will go to Cadence International which carries out the KidsLink project.
It costs about $2.50 per Kit/per child to get Card Kits into the hands of kids and families! (This is in addition to the physical material costs and time that are donated by great KidsLink volunteer groups.) Your donations will be used to cover these costs.
KidsLink Downrange is a Signature Participation Project of Cadence International. All donations to Cadence International are tax-deductible so far as the law allows. While Cadence attempts to honor the specific wishes of all donors, Cadence maintains complete discretion and control over the use of donated funds and is authorized to redirect funds within the ministry.
We are requesting $1 per kit pledged. So if you pledge to create 15 kits, we are asking for a donation of $15 at minimum from your group. However, if you are able to donate more, please do!
Five dollars per kit is requested for KidsLink Complete and One Day Projects. These are projects where KidsLink provides the materials for the Card Kits. For those who are providing materials, $1 or more per kit is the request.
In short, yes. It doesn’t have to be YOU who donates, or even your group. You could ask a friend, your church, or a local group to help you cover this donation pledge.
All donation checks should be made to Cadence International and include the word “KidsLink” in the memo line. (Do not put the name of any person or missionary on the check.) You will also be given a link to pledge via PayPal, too, during the process if you wish to give by credit card. You can also find all the ways to donate here. In order to keep this project thriving and helping military families in future years, KidsLink is requiring these donations.
